Why not come to our Singing Day on Saturday 1st October? A series of workshops from 10am to 5pm will be led by our music director Hilary Davan Wetton and our vocal consultant, the internationally acclaimed soprano Rachel Nicholls. You are warmly invited to join us.
The main focus will be Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana (it probably needs no introduction but – just in case – the collection of thirteenth century poems, set to music in the 20th century, which continue to have considerable resonance today with themes like love and lust, drinking and gambling, spring and fertility, fortune and wealth). For additional musical variety, we will also be working on some pieces from the European Sacred Music Book.
The day is open to all (over 18) as well as current members and will cost £20 (half price for students) – excellent value for a whole day’s singing.
Places must be booked in advance. For more details and to book, please send an email to email@example.com. We look forward to hearing from you.

Join us for the fourth concert of our acclaimed series with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on Thursday 23rd March at Cadogan Hall. We will be singing Haydn’s Theresienmesse with a stunning line-up of soloists, and Leon McCawley wil be playing Mozart’s much-loved Piano Concerto in C minor K491.
* So said Boulezian of our recent performance of Mass in Time of War (Paukenmesse) in the second of this series of six concerts. ‘Davan Wetton’s choral experience was very clear – and welcome, as was the discipline of the singers themselves…Choral consolation was as real as it was lovable.’ Read the full review here, and book your tickets today for Theresienmesse.
